Alright, reality shows suck and more so if you think your haunts should be one!
Alright! Time top get out there and get some fresh air, so why not run away form some zombies?
Alright!! The haunt world and the rap industry came together last week? Will Storm get more street cred after this rant?
Alright! Big Scary Show has launched, and now it’s time to get back on track with the Haunt Minute posts. Let’s toss in the latest edition that premiered on Big Scary Show where I visit the pros and cons of haunters unable to travel without being spotted a mile away.
Hey everyone, just a quick update. I have been working on an exciting new project lately and put the latest servings of Haunt Minute on the back burner as things sort out. Look forward to the anouncement soon and back to regular new Haunt Minutes.
Alright, need an idea for more marketing media and impact without a lot more work? Well the Avengers movie trailers have inspired me to rant about a practice missing from the haunt industry.
Its college basketball craziness again, so let’s look back on a classic rant to bring brackets to the haunt industry
Here's the press release from Steve O at the Garageofevilnetwork.com reguarding the workshop.
-- Start Release-- After much time and effort the Garage of Evil is now real. And by real, I mean an actual 1400 sq foot workshop, located in a great mill space off the highway in Providence, Rhode Island.
This is a fully equipped workshop with space to build in, learn in, and we hope share your know-how in. This space will be open multiple days a month, so a shop member can simply walk in and build, or if they choose just hang out and soak up the haunt vibes of people creating. Special classes and events will be held throughout the year, and we welcome Make and Take or other groups that need a space for a day to bring haunters together.
Many of you are already familiar with the idea of a shared, creative build studio. A lot of artists communities that require specialized tools and know-how have spaces like this, and recently in the nerd builder community "Hackerspaces" have been popping up all over.We thought (because we're crazy) why not do this for the haunt community? And thus, an idea was hatched which is now reality.
The Garage of Evil Workshop will soon be open to you, in fact all that was left to do was pick a date for our grand opening.
Some of us work year round, some seasonally, and some wait for the frost to thaw. It was hard to pick a date that captured the awakening of our collective interest in the haunt season. So... we guessed, and April won.
This April, Saturday the 14th, and we hope every mid April annually come for a ritual to awaken your haunt muse, bury any shortcomings of the prior year, and ensure a successful haunt season. Surround yourself with fellow haunters and chant utterly phoney quasi-Gregorian gibberish as we sacrifice a Care Bear to the haunt gods.
This ritual will be at least as serious as the worst 70's horror movie you've ever seen and will be followed with food and drink on the GoE, and a fun mingling with your haunt peers. Bring yourself, bring a haunter friend, talk shop and have a fun day/night. We'll cover our upcoming courses/events/etc at the shop for 2012, and very much would like to have your input to help us fill up our calendar.
Date: April, Saturday the 14th Where: The GoE Shop - 25 Eagle Street Providence RI Time: 3:00 PM to ... ? Dress: Black Cloak Optional Updates: Join the GoE Shop Group:http://www.garageofevilnetwork.com/group/the-garage-of-evil-member-workshop Food and drink will be provided. Feel free to bring any special libations you desire!
PLEASE RSVP your attendance via email to email@example.com so we have a good idea for food and drink quantities.
Alright, the Garage of Evil has the right idea. We need more ritual sacrifices! Just play this week’s Haunt Minute to hear me go off on the reasons and people buying bread and milk.
Alright!! It’s time for society to understand that defining the title is not a description. “Storm rants because descriptions suck” see that sucks!!! How about “This week Storm calls you out for not putting the forethought for a description into expressing the emotion behind the haunted creation you have poured so much time, money and blood into”. Yeah see, what Haunt Minute do you want to hear now?
